Responsibility

Materials, making and care

We are not a sustainable brand by certificate — we are a brand that makes fewer, better pieces in Europe and tells you exactly how. Here is what that means in practice.

Premium materials

Our knits average 78% recycled fibre content, sourced from Italian and Portuguese mills that specialise in compressive, recovery-led fabrics. Every fabric is selected for handfeel, opacity under stretch, four-way recovery and colour retention — the qualities that keep a garment in a wardrobe for years rather than seasons.

Responsible manufacturing

Production sits in Portugal, close to our studio, with partners we visit in person. Short supply chains mean lower transport emissions, faster correction of quality issues and working conditions we can verify ourselves rather than take on trust. We produce in smaller batches to avoid the overstock that defines fast fashion.

Quality standards

Each production run is inspected for stitch density, seam strength, waistband recovery and colour consistency, and each style is wear-tested through at least twelve fit iterations before release. Longevity is our primary environmental strategy: the most responsible garment is the one that does not need replacing.

Product care

Wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with like colours. Skip fabric softener — it coats elastane and reduces compression. Dry flat away from direct heat, never tumble dry, and rotate between two pieces to let fibres recover. Cared for this way, a Lisboa Fit piece holds its shape and colour for years.

Packaging and end of life

Orders ship in recyclable, plastic-minimal packaging with no unnecessary inserts. When a piece finally reaches the end of its life, we encourage textile recycling rather than landfill and are happy to point customers to schemes in their country.
